Trawler landing
Samskip can provide services to fishing companies with trawler landings at the port area in Kjalarvogur, landing the catch directly into the Ísheimar cold storage facilities from the quayside at Vogarbakki.
Frozen products can be stored at Ísheimar and withdrawn as needed, and/or all goods can be collected from there once landing has been completed.

Cruise Ship Services
Samskip provides comprehensive port services in Iceland for cruise ships. In addition to container, conventional cargo, and project cargo transport, Samskip offers flexible and reliable port agency services in Iceland and currently works with several of the major cruise lines sailing to Iceland.
Our experienced staff have a strong understanding of the needs of our cruise ship customers and work closely with Icelandic authorities, ports, and service providers in the tourism sector.
Samskip Vehicle and Carport Terminal
The Samskip Vehicle Terminal is located at the rear of the port area at Holtavegur 8, marked J on the map (Building H on the adjacent map). Access to the terminal is from Vatnagarðar, driving down alongside the shopping center (Mikligarður) and entering the area from the back.
The vehicle terminal serves as a service point for cars, motorcycles, and other vehicles that are either being collected for transport or delivered for shipment.
Opening hours:
The terminal is open from 08:00 to 16:00 (8 AM-4 PM), Monday to Friday.
