Equality Policy of Samskip and its Subsidiaries
Samskip has implemented an equal pay management system and an equality policy that applies to all employees of the company and its subsidiaries, Samskip Domestic and Jónar Transport in Iceland. The purpose is to ensure gender equality within the organization and to provide equal opportunities for employees to apply their skills at work, regardless of gender. The equal pay policy is developed in accordance with Act No. 150/2020 on Equal Status and Equal Rights of the Sexes.
We emphasize gender equality and ensure that all employees have equal opportunities for employment, further education, and remuneration for comparable roles. Employees are assessed on their individual merits, and equal treatment is upheld in all respects. Salary decisions are based on the company’s job families, job classification system, and defined pay benchmarks.
Samskip’s HR Manager is responsible for the company’s equal pay management system and ensures that it is documented, implemented, and continuously updated. The CEO and Executive Management review the system annually and are committed to ensuring its effectiveness.

Samskip employees are permitted to report information or disclose documents in good faith regarding violations of the law or other reportable misconduct within the company’s operations to internal parties who can help ensure that the unlawful or improper conduct is stopped or addressed, or to the police or other relevant public oversight authorities, such as the Parliamentary Ombudsman, the National Audit Office, or the Administration of Occupational Safety and Health
