Individuals
Samskip assists private customers with importing vehicles through safe and flexible solutions. We can manage the entire process from A to Z – collecting the vehicle abroad, arranging loading, and delivering it directly to the customer’s door. Customers may also choose to deliver the vehicle to the overseas port themselves, depending on what suits them best. The same applies to the export of vehicles and machinery.

From Samskip’s vehicle terminal at Kjalarvogur, we also offer services for exporting vehicles from Iceland, whether private cars or equipment.

This service enables customers to distribute their goods across Europe—including Norway, Poland, Sweden, Finland, and the Baltic States—within just days of arrival in Rotterdam.

This coastal shipping route is purpose-built for the fresh produce market and offers:

As a result, fresh products such as blueberries, tomatoes, blackberries, and strawberries can travel for up to 45 days without losing freshness, color, or quality.

By slowing the natural ripening process and reducing ethylene (C₂H₄) production, this technology minimizes spoilage and keeps products in peak condition, even over long distances.
